Private William Willis White (son of Arthur William & Rose Ellis White of Fingrith Hall Road, and brother of George) served in the Leicestershire Regiment and was killed on 5th November 1918, aged 26. He is buried in Downham Churchyard (see photograph).His name is not commemorated at Blackmore
