1901 Census. Joseph Thomas, age 13, is houseboy to Douglas Crossman at Dudbrook.

Clare Goodwin, a descendant who confirmed the above details for Joseph wrote “I have also been led to believe that my grandfather John Thomas may have also served in the same Regiment. I can find no official records of this though.”
