Brentwood: Olympic Torch Relay Comes To Town

Day 49 of the Olympic Torch Relay, seven years after the announcement that London would be hosting the 2012 Olympics, and just three weeks until the start of the Games, the tour arrived in Essex - here at Brentwood at 6.00pm today.  The torch-bearer on this part of the route - from The Avenue to Masons Restaurant in Ingrave Road - was Paul Salmon, 39, from Colne Engaine. His (very proud) mother stood next to us and other members of his family were positioned along the route.
