Blackmore: Tribute to Those who Served in Afghanistan

A service to commemorate the end of Britain's military involvement in Afghanistan was held today (Friday 13 March 2015) at St Paul's Cathedral, attended by members of the Royal Family. Proceedings concluded with a flypast. C130 JHercules appeared over Blackmore five minutes later.  We remember today those who served, particularly sons and daughters of families with connections with the village. Particular remembrance to the 453 who fell.
